RECOGNISED-BY-EFQM-COLOUR-4-STAR-2024The IMDEA Water Institute has revalidated its 400+ international certification, awarded by the Club de Excelencia en Gestión. The EFQM assessment is intended to help entities to examine their management by external analysts.

IMDEA Water, committed to continuous improvement and excellence, began applying the EFQM model in 2012 to detect opportunities for improvement in management, which in 2017 earned it the EFQM 300+ recognition. This model has recognized excellence in the management of more than 3,000 organizations over the past 20 years.

Structured in three blocks, the model attempts to answer several key questions for any organization: direction, execution and results.

According to Irene de Bustamante, director of IMDEA Water, “the EFQM assessment provides us with very enriching information about our strengths and challenges, and, above all, about the opportunities for improvement that can be incorporated into the new 2024-2027 strategic plan, always with the aim of continuing to improve management”.

EFQM 400 SealThe transformation towards excellent management has been part of the institute’s strategy since its inception. In 2008, it committed to the European Union’s Human Resources Strategy for Research(HRS4R). In 2010 it was the first Spanish entity to obtain the HRS4R seal.
