She holds a degree in Journalism (1993, Complutense University of Madrid) and has postgraduate training in technology of energies, and socioeconomic journalism. She began her career in the international department of the Spanish news agency Efe. For two decades, she developed her work as a journalist and editor in many media and communication agencies.
In 2009, she joined Bioe Group as a science communicator and research support. She has partaken in national and European research projects related to MET together with the organization and coordination of outreach activities. She led a national project to introduce high school students in the field of microbial electrochemistry, which received the First Prize for Scientific Dissemination at UAH. She has been a member of the dissemination and transfer subcommittee of REMTAVARES network and the responsible for communication of the national network of excellence IBERIMET. Since 2013 she has been the publishing coordinator of ISMET news, the newsletter of the International Society for Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology-ISMET, and a member of the editorial committee. She is the secretary of the Board of Directors at Association of Biotechnology Communicators-ComunicaBiotec.
