Graduated in Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2018) and Master´s degree in Biotechnology from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2019).
Her End-of-Degree “Betanodavirus culture in explants of neurons” consisted in the development of the protocol for the extraction of sole’s neurons and the virus cultivation in the explants. With the proposal to advance in the study of the disease (Viral Nervous Necrosis, VNN) caused by Nodaviridae family in fish, especially in those destined to aquaculture production.
Her Final Master´s dissertation was carried out at the National Biotechnology Center, in the Deparment of Molecular Plant Genetics, under supervision of Carmen Castresana and Yovanny Izquierdo. This work consisted of “Participation of highly divergent, underexpressed ribosomal proteins un plant defense”.
She joined IMDEA Water in October 2019 as support researcher. This contract was funded by the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative through the State Investigation Agency at Promotion of Youth Employment Programme. The subsidized activity is part of the National System of Youth Guarantee. Her contract ended in February 2022.
In September 2022 she joined IMDEA Water again. She is currently working at IMDEA Water as a research assistant in the Ecotoxicology and microbial contamination group: Her contract is funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU, through the “Investigo Programme”, within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism of the European Union.
