Equality plan
In each and every one of the areas IMDEA Water works, from recruiting to promoting (including wage policy, training, working and employment conditions, health and safety and work-life balance, among other aspects), we assume the principle of equal opportunities between women and men, with special regard to indirect discrimination, meaning “The situation in which an apparently neutral provision, criteria or practice puts a person of one gender at a particular disadvantage compared to people of the other gender”.
At IMDEA Water, we promote the integration of the gender perspective in research and training, in line with our 2022–2025 Equality Plan and, in particular, with Objective 4.2: Training for the integration of the gender dimension into research content.
To this end, we make training resources and supporting materials available to research staff and research personnel, prepared by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the State Research Agency. These resources facilitate the incorporation of the gender approach in R&D&I, thus contributing to more inclusive and higher-quality science.
