PhD in hydrogeology at the Freie Universität of Berlin (2011), MSc in Geological Science at the Sapienza University of Rome (2007). In June 2011, she obtained a MARIE CURIE AMAROUT grant to develop her research work at IMDEA Water Institute. Her research is mainly focused on reactive transport modelling, with special interest of contaminant of emerging concern, direct and indirect water reuse. She is PI of the research project “FatePharM: Irrigation of crops with surface water contaminated with pharmaceuticals and trace metals: natural attenuation or health risk?” funded by the MINECO. She has co-supervised a PhD thesis (UAH) about the behavior of pharmaceuticals in the unsaturated zone and more than 20 master projects whose topics are all related to contamination and management of water resources. Since 2011, she is a professor of the Master in Hydrology and Water Resources Management of the UAH and URJC and since 2014 of its blended version. Her research activity is reflected by more than 20 scientific and outreach publications and participation in more than 25 national and international congresses.
