Biologist from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Master of Science (biology) from Uppsala University (Sweden). On her bachelor, she worked on the taxonomy and ecology of marine phytoplankton communities. While during her master studies, she worked with freshwater phytoplankton communities in mesocosm and microcosm experiments aimed to determine the effect of runoff on such communities and the temporality of said effect.
Now she is part of the REMOTE project (project SPIP2024-03303 has been supported by the National Parks Autonomous Agency), where there is going to be an evaluation of risks and planning of mitigation of the impact of tire-derived particles and salinization in biological communities of riverine ecosystems of National Parks of High Mountain.
