Graduated in Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Sevilla, she has worked with photosynthetic organisms in several research centers.

During her studies, she made an internship at the University of Hannover, where she worked in the project “Research of microalgae immobilization techniques and measurement of microalgae cell viability”, and at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences where she carried out the project “Analysis of protein interaction in N. benthamiana”.

After that, she made a master’s degree in Advanced Biology from the University of Sevilla. She carried out her Master’s thesis in the Institute of Vegetal Biochemistry and Photosynthesis, named “Functional study of a nutritional stress protein in cyanobacteria.

In 2019 she started working at IMDEA Energy as a Researcher in Training, where she worked on the culture of microalgae in the liquid fraction of digestate, as part of the project BIOGASMENA.

In February 2023, she joins IMDEA Agua as a Research Assistant in the BioE group for the line of microbial electrochemical technologies, within the framework of the Regenera project.
