Automated Sample Preparation and Analysis

National Presentation of Freestyle™ XANA™ system

IMDEA Water Institute hosted the presentation to national level of the Freestyle™ XANA™ by LCTech company.

The presentation included a theoretical and practical demonstration of the new robotic equipment that allows the solid phase extraction (SPE). The SPE is a technique widely used in the analysis of environmental samples that allows to preconcentrate and clean complex sample matrices. Automating the simple treatment minimizes time spent on this task and also greater reproducibility is achieved in analytical results.

This equipment allows the preparation of a sequentially controled by software up to 65 samples/day, working with sample volumes from 0.1ml up to 1-4 liters and processing samples with suspended particles and employ pressures up to 4 bar.

IMDEA Water actively participated in the presentation of this new equipment offering its facilities and welcoming participants belonging both to own institute and other national research centers and companies.
