Bulletin No. 2 is now available

It is available for consultation the Bulletin No. 2 of LIFE TRANSFOMEM project, which summarizes all the activity from June 2015 until the end of the year: publications, participation in conferences, as well as information on the implementation of the pilots in Cuevas de Almanzora .​

TRANSFOMEM is a project funded under the LIFE + financial instrument  (contract n. LIFE13 ENV/ES/000751). The project is related to “Transformation of disposed reverse osmosis membranes into recycled ultrafiltration and nanofiltration membranes”. The project, in which participate IMDEA Water Institute and the industry SADYT, began in June 2014 and will take 48 months.

The main environmental motivation of TRANSFOMEM, is the recycling of polymeric membranes that have been left out of the applied processes of reverse osmosis, and it subsequent reuse in treating seawater, brackish water and wastewater, which will extend its life and reduce waste.
