Between 22 and 26 of May, the Europe 26th Annual Meeting, from Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), took place in Nantes, France.

In this meeting, Dr. Andreu Rico, researcher from the Ecotoxicology group of IMDEA Water, has received the best paper award published by the scientific journal ET&C of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC).

In this study, Andreu Rico and his co-worker Paul J. van den Brink (from Wageningen University, the Netherlands) propose a new method to evaluate the vulnerability of aquatic invertebrate populations to insecticide pollution based on intrinsic sensitivity, biological traits and toxicant mode of action.
