GENERA 2016 Energy and Environment International Trade Fair

IMDEA Water  participates in GENERA 2016 Energy and Environment International Trade Fair hosted by IFEMA

Between 15 and 17 June, IFEMA host GENERA 2016 Energy and Environment International Trade Fair, promoted by the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), in which 29 countries and 166 enterprises participate

The main objective of the event is to create a meeting forum for companies, research institutes, universities and other organizations that are actively engaged within the field of renewable energy and environment, as well as show the latest developments in all types of renewable energies.

In this edition, GENERA also host Technological Brokerage Event in Energy and Environment, on 15 and 16 June, organized by the Foundation for Knowledge Madri + d.  

The first day was celebrate to facilitate meetings of cooperation and transfer of technology between companies and organizations through bilateral meetings.

​The second day has been dedicated to meet funding opportunities and participation in Energy and Environment European Projects that offers The Framework Programme of the European Union "Horizon 2020". On the second day four examples of participation of research centers in Madrid in H2020 projects were exposed. One example has been iMETland project "A new generation of Microbial Electrochemical Wetland for effective decentralized wastewater treatment"  coordinated by IMDEA Water. Juana Sanz explained what are the characteristics of this project, its objectives and who are part of the consortium.
