Entech Pollutech is the 26th International Exhibition of Environmental Protection and Pollution control Technology. It is a 4-day event being held from 1st June to the 4th June 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event, organized within ASEAN Sustainable Energy week, showcases products like Waste-to-energy which features technology required in many areas etc., in the Environment & Waste Management, Power & Renewable Energy industries.

IMDEA Water Institute is part of a Spanish delegation lead by CDTI-Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and PLANETA-Spanish Platform for Environmental Technology.

The economies of the ASEAN region represents a market of some 600 million people, with annual growth rates of around 6%. It is estimated that over the next decade, ASEAN will replicate the success observed in Northeast Asia, where clean technology companies had a combined growth rate of almost 13% between 2005 and 2011. This trend indicates continued growth throughout the Southeast of Asia, where demand for water, sanitation, waste treatment, recycling and pollution mitigation will be areas with a continuous increment. This formidable growth represents a challenge and an opportunity for the adoption of clean technologies across the region.

The industrial growth is being experienced by Thailand also means a demand in water treatment, waste and air pollution technologies, being these themes the key aspects in discussion during the Fair Entech Pollutec. IMDEA water is sharing knowledge about the technologies is developing in topics as microbial electrochemical technologies, treatment and reuse of wastewater, cyanobacteria and cyanotoxins or membrane technology among others.

In addition to the fair, the Embassy of Spain in Thailand and STI Office (National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Office) in that country have organized a workshop entitled "Closed door interactive Meeting with the Spanish Delegation focussed on Green Technologies" to foster bilateral collaboration between research centers and companies.
