IMDEA Water organized yesterday a training and mentoring session aimed at strengthening the preparation of applications for grants from the European Research Council (ERC), one of the most competitive and prestigious calls at European level.

The conference was attended by Leticia Riaza, National Contact Point (NCP) of the ERC of the European Office of FECYT, who presented the main novelties of the program and offered practical recommendations for the preparation of competitive proposals. Likewise, Carlos Dionisio Pérez, R4 researcher in the Economic and Institutional Analysis group and beneficiary in 2024 of an ERC Consolidator Grant for the WaterTheft project, shared his experience in the application and resolution process.

This initiative is part of IMDEA Water’s commitment to the development of research careers and to the promotion of scientific excellence in the field of the European Research Area (ERA) to strengthen its international positioning and its commitment to continue increasing participation in this type of highly competitive calls.
