IMDEA Water organizes three activities in the Science Week of the Community of Madrid

As in previous editions, Institute IMDEA Water participates in the XIII Science Week of the Community of Madrid  through the organization of two workshops and an educational itinerary.

As in previous editions, Institute IMDEA Water participates in the XIII Science Week of the Community of Madrid  through the organization of two workshops and an educational itinerary. The organization has the support of the University of Alcalá and the Canal de Isabel II Gestión.

The activities are:

How our habits affect aquatic organisms. (November 6, 2013) Ecotoxicity: use in assessing water quality . Emerging Contaminants . Workshop: effects of these products on aquatic organisms .

– Bacteria producing electricity: an old and new form of energy. (November 13, 2013) A new type of renewable energy based on the metabolic activity of microorganisms in natural environments. Discover the environmental biotechnology.

– Groundwater and energy supply to the Community of Madrid. (November 14, 2013) : Visit to the Torrelaguan Hydroelectric Plant and the Torrelaguna's water supply wells.
