IMDEA Water participates in the “Madrid es Ciencia” Fair 2026
The annual science outreach event of the Community of Madrid, free of charge and open to all audiences, will take place at La Nave from 19 to 21 March
The 15th edition of Madrid es Ciencia, the fair organised by the Fundación para el Conocimiento madri+d and promoted by the Regional Ministry of Education, Science and Universities, will arrive next week at La Nave with the aim of bringing science, technology and innovation closer to schoolchildren, families and society.
The IMDEA Institutes network will take part with demonstrations and workshops showcasing their research lines in an accessible and engaging way. IMDEA Agua thus joins a diverse programme featuring more than 700 activities organised by schools, universities, research centres, companies, museums and scientific associations, all aimed at making science approachable, enjoyable and understandable for citizens.
Madrid es Ciencia is conceived as a large open laboratory, where science ceases to be abstract and becomes tangible. Through projects developed by students and teachers, as well as universities, research centres, companies and institutions, the fair seeks to inspire STEM vocations and promote critical thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset.
The event will also include dedicated spaces such as Ágora madri+d and Plaza Eureka, hosting talks, workshops and presentations on a wide range of scientific projects, including initiatives related to the trilogy of eclipses that will take place between 2026 and 2028 on the Iberian Peninsula.
