IMDEA Water participates in the meeting of the EnviroPlaNet network
EnviroPlaNet (RED2018-102345-T) is a thematic Research Network that was granted in 2018 by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, within the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2017-2020 (RED2018-102345- T funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033). The network coordinated by the University of Alcalá and in which IMDEA Agua participates, encompasses an interdisciplinary group of Spanish research groups that work on pollution by plastic materials. The objective is to improve the coordination of the groups in key aspects that currently represent an obstacle to research, such as the methodological dispersion of sampling and sample analysis or the lack of consistency in toxicological and ecotoxicological studies.
During the meeting, methodologies were discussed and collaborative studies were promoted among the members of the network to achieve greater research challenges taking advantage of the structure provided by the network. IMDEA Agua showed the results of the accomplished IMPASSE project (PCIN-2017-016 Project), as well as the objectives and tasks on which it is currently working within the framework of the current projects: nanoCLEAN (PID2019-111519RA-I00 Project financed by MCIN/AEI/10.13039 /501100011033), µNanoCare (Project RTC2019-007261-5 funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033) and Papillons (EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 101000210).
