IMDEA Water renews its seal of excellence in human resources management
The European Commission grants this distinction
IMDEA Water has received the renewal of the European Seal of Excellence in human resources management granted by the European Commission. The distinction has been awarded for the next three years.
This recognition was obtained in 2010, becoming the first Spanish entity to achieve it. This recognition is based on the development of a strategy (HRS4R) of continuous improvement to favor the work environment and conditions, promote career development and ensure good research practices, among other actions.
A decade later, the institute continues to make efforts to comply with the 40 principles contained in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, for renewing this seal on a cyclical basis.
The Charter and the Code provide recommendations on the responsibilities and obligations of researchers, employers and funders in relation to ethical and professional aspects, recruitment (open, transparent and based on merit), working conditions and social security and training.
