In an information day, held at the University Pablo Olavide (Sevilla), about EURAXESS and the Human Resources Excellence in Research

The Andalusia Agency of Knowledge together with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology-FECYT and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, as members of the EURAXESS network organized an information day, held at the University Pablo Olavide (Sevilla), about EURAXESS and the Human Resources Excellence in Research.

The meeting was presented by the General Director of Research (from the Board of Andalusia region), and many Andalusia entities as universities, spin-off, foundations etc., were represented. All this institutions were interested in joining the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of researchers.

Currently, there are 33 Spanish institutions acknowledged with the seal of excellence, being IMDEA Water one of them. IMDEA Water is involved in the process since 2008 and was the first Spanish institution to get this recognition. Juana Sanz represented this institution sharing their experience in a practical way.  The Human Resources Strategy includes five steps: a gap analysis, strategic plan, acknowledgement, self-assessment and external assessment.
