iMETland innovation featured at the EIP Water conference
As part of the Action Group MEET-ME4Water
iMETland was one of the projects on water innovation presented at the EIP Conference 2016, held on 10 February in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, as part of the Action Group MEET-ME4Water, lead by project coordinator IMDEA Water.
The conference brought together over 700 participants – researchers and high-level representatives of the public and corporate water sector in Europe and beyond, focused on connecting water innovation and learning about the activities of Action Groups.
MEET-ME4water (Microbial Electrochemistry Meeting for Water) is part of one of the 16 working groups selected under the EIP Water. The aim of the proposal is to overcome the obstacles for expansion and demonstration of microbial electrochemical technologies (MET) in order to transfer them to the water market.
The European Innovation Partnership on Water is one of five EIP’s, all of which are initiatives within the EU 2020 Innovation Union. The EIP Water facilitates the development of innovative solutions to address major European and global water challenges. At the same time, the EIP Water supports the creation of market opportunities for these innovations, both inside and outside of Europe.
