Companies and administrations learn about METland® technology

METfilter, the start-up company associated to IMDEA Agua, has joined a Partner Event during the European Green Week (EU Green Week 2021), with the aim of showing METland® technology, and how it is being implemented worldwide within the H2020 ELECTRA project. Last week different agents from the water sector visited the solution installed at IMDEA Water.

Abraham Esteve Núñez, scientific director of the company and associate researcher at IMDEA Water, explained the role of the electromicrobiology in this sustainable solution to treat wastewater without energy costs. Representatives from the Madrid Foundation for Knowledge, the public water company Canal de Isabel II, the Guadalajara Forest Policy and Sustainable Development Service and the Mahou-San Miguel and TPF GETINSA companies have attended the sessions organised by METfilter.

EU Green Week 2021 runs from May 31 to June 4, 2021, with partner events from 3 May 3 to 13 June. This year's edition is related to the European Green Deal and the adoption of the EU Action Plan Towards zero pollution for air, water and soil.
