“New sources: Water reuse in the framework of sustainable management”, side event organized by IMDEA Water at the 2015 UN-Water Annual International Zaragoza Conference

The seminar will be held on January 14, 2015 in Zaragoza.

Next January 14th, the side event Parallel Event "New sources: Water reuse in the framework of sustainable management" will be held, framed in the 2015 UN-Water Annual International Zaragoza Conference.. Water and Sustainable Development: From Vision to Action.

The seminar is organized by the Institute IMDEA Water, the University of Alcalá and the Consolider Tragua Network (TRAGUANET).

The side event will provide a global view of the possibilities for wastewater as a resource. During the seminar, different practical examples of reuse will be presented and other possibilities to recover contaminated substances (organic material, phosphorus, nitrogen) will be examined. Successful projects to reuse water will be set as practical examples in entertainment, industry, and aquifer recharge.
