Participation in the 12th Summer Course in Environmental Toxicology and Ecotoxycology at Masaryk University, Czech Republic

Between the 13th and 17th of June, it took place in Brno, Czech Republic, the 12th Summer Course in Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology, organized by RECETOX group.

IMDEA Water has been represented in that event by Alba Arenas Sánchez, predoctoral researcher from the Ecotoxicology group at this institution. During this course, which took place in the facilities of the research group RECETOX (Research Centre for Toxic Compounds in the Environment), at Masaryk University, participants received theoretical and practical (chemical and ecotoxicological laboratory  exercises) training related with the ecotoxicological risk and the exposure to different contaminants through different paths (aquatic, aerial…). Furthermore, it was also possible to visit the innovative indoor facilities from this research institution, as well as having a one day field trip to the meteorological observatory of Kosetice, which provides meteorological data to numerous national and international projects related with exposure to chemicals in the environment and climate change.
