PhD Defense- Ojilve Medrano Pérez

This thesis is framed within the Doctoral Program in Hydrology and Water Resources Management, in which IMDEA Water participates

​​Ojilve Ramón Medrano has recently defended his doctoral thesis at the University of Alcalá.

The thesis is entitled “The challenge of the efficient management of water and energy services, edges of a problem. A perspective from Dominican Republic”. It is framed within the Doctoral Program in Hidrology and Water Resources Management, coordinated by the University of Alcalá, with the collaboration of IMDEA Water and the Rey Juan Carlos University.  

This thesis evaluates the provision of potable water, sanitation and electricity in Dominican Republic. In this paper the current situation and the current regulatory framework is analyzed, identifying the variables that affect the efficient provision of these services.

Dr. María Celia Güemes has been the thesis director.

He was rated Excellent.
