Enrique Pérez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (2022) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (2025) from the University of Granada. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Legal Practice (2023) and a Master’s Degree in Quantitative Finance (2025) from the University of Alcalá. He has worked in the legal and M&A departments of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He is currently a predoctoral researcher in the MADisWATER project.
During his master’s studies, he researched the predictability and volatility of financial markets. His postgraduate training has also focused on causal inference applied to the evaluation of the economic effects of legislation. His profile combines the analysis of water law frameworks, the causal evaluation of public policies, and financial modelling.
He is currently a predoctoral researcher in the MADisWATER project, within the work package “Strategic Analysis for the Circular Economy and Water Resilience: Water Reuse for Urban and Industrial Applications.” Led by IMDEA Water and developed in collaboration with Repsol and Canal de Isabel II, this work seeks to promote water reuse and reduce urban and industrial water consumption in the Madrid Region. To achieve this, it combines the analysis of the water management context and governance instruments, the economic assessment of water reclamation technologies, and the study of solutions to minimize water consumption, with the aim of formulating strategic recommendations to strengthen water resilience.
MADisWATER (“Madrid is Water: Vital Technologies for Water Sustainability in Madrid”), project reference 59/323466.9/25, is funded by the Community of Madrid and co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Madrid Regional ERDF Operational Programme 2021-2027. The project is supported through the 2025 call for grants aimed at enhancing public-private cooperation in R&D&I through consortium-based flagship projects.
