She is graduated in Biology by the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid (2021) and in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology master’s from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid (2024). She did her undergraduate thesis on the production of anti-ultraviolet compounds by cyanobacteria from the hyper-arid Atacama Desert. At the end of her degree, she did an internship at the University of Sheffield, where, using molecular techniques, she studied the presence of pathogenic bacteria in water.
She completed her master with an internship in an environmental analysis laboratory, and she did her master’s thesis on biogas production and digestate revalorization for decontamination processes.
She is currently working on her doctoral thesis in the “Aquatic ecology and biotechnology” group within the research project “Blooms of toxic cyanobacteria: detection and elimination of microcystins in large water bodies”.
