Redouane Meras holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from ENSA Algiers, with a specialisation in Crop Production and Improvement, and a Master’s in Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources from the same institution. He later completed a Master’s in Sustainable Water Management and Governance at CIHEAM Zaragoza.

He is an agronomist engineer specialised in crop production, agricultural system modelling, and sustainable water management. His research focuses on integrated models linking climate, agriculture, water, and socio-economic systems to support decision-making. Currently a PhD researcher at IMDEA Water, he develops computational models combining hydrology, economics, and human behaviour, incorporating climate data, AI, and uncertainty analysis.

He collaborates with economists, hydrologists, and agent-based modelling experts to develop integrated frameworks that combine economic, hydrological, and behavioural approaches using climate data and AI. He also works on quantifying uncertainty in these systems through advanced simulations to improve decision-making under climate variability.
