Rafael Fernandez Rubio , was named Honorary Member of the Specialized Group of Mineral Resources and Reserves by the “Superior Council of Associations of Mining Engineers” and the “National Association of Mining Engineers”. 

On 9 June, Rafael Fernandez Rubio, President of the Board of IMDEA Water , was named Honorary Member of the Specialized Group of Mineral Resources and Reserves, by joint meeting of the “Superior Council of Associations of Mining Engineers” and the “National Association of Mining Engineers”. 

The appointment was held within the " Cycles Conference " organized by the “Specialized Group Mineral Resources and Reserves” . The event was conducted by Adolfo Rodriguez Gonzalez, Dean – President of the Superior Council of Colleges of Mining Engineers . 

Following the appointment, Rafael Fernández gave a lecture on "Iron: For 100 years – For 100 Worlds: Iron Quadrangle (Minas Gerais, Brazil)"
