Research stay of Jorge Senán At Aalborg university
The collaboration is being carried out with Assoc. Prof. Massimo Pizzol
The researcher from IMDEA Water and the membrane technology group, Jorge Senán is at Aalborg University in a research stay. The collaboration is being carried out with Assoc. Prof. Massimo Pizzol, Department of Planning, whose expertise is the environmental analysis of emerging technologies including the interactions with the market trends.
During the stay, the researchers have been investigating the application of the consequential life cycle assessment in the screening of nutrient recycling technologies from urban wastewaters. The aim is to identify technological trends for the reduction of the environmental impact in nutrient recovery. These technologies are crucial for the solution of different social concerns as food security, poverty reduction, and the transition towards a Circular Economy.
This stay is framed in the national project INREMEM 2.0 Grant RTI2018-096042-B-C21 funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by “ERDF A way of making Europe”, that aims to evaluate the performance of recycled membranes in the hybrid membranes schemes for the nutrient recycling from urban wastewaters; and his doctoral thesis of Jorge Senán at the University of Alcalá.
