Successful participation of the ERU WATSAN in the National Emergency Simulacrum “Gamma-Palazuelos 2013”
IMDEA Water staff participated in the National Emergency Simulacrum “Gamma-Palazuelos”, ended yesterday. The operation was very prosperous and productive. The Emergency Response Unit Water and Sanitation (ERU WATSAN) assessed to the Emergency Military Unit (UME) with 10.000 liters of drinking water produced by three potabilization mobile plants. The influent was water from the Pontón Alto reservoir.
ERU WATSAN provides a standardised package of equipment modules fully self-sufficient to assure treatment and distribution of 225,000 litres of water per day to up to 15.000 people. IMDEA Water staff will collaborate as member of ERU.
