Her academic background includes a degree in Biology with a specialization in Microbiology and a master’s degree in environmental microbiology. In addition, she is a Senior Technician in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory. She worked at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (CSIC) in the group of beneficial plant-microorganism interactions, thus deepening her knowledge of microbiology, genetics and molecular biology techniques. Subsequently, she perfected her knowledge at the National Center of Microbiology (ISCIII). In this context, she focused her work on the analysis of nosocomial antibiotic resistant microorganisms. Her contributions have been documented in several scientific publications, including an article in Applied Soil Ecology as first author, highlighting the role of microorganisms in the remediation of soils contaminated by heavy metals. She has also co-authored articles in journals such as Antibiotics, addressing therapeutic strategies against nosocomial bacteria. She has made presentations at scientific congresses, participated in scientific dissemination activities and numerous training courses.

She is currently a research assistant at IMDEA Water in the framework of the EMERGING project, Plastisfera in urban wastewater: membrane-based hybrid systems for water reuse and sludge recycling, Grant PID2022-143233OB-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 and by ERDF, EU.
