He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree of Language, Culture and Society of Asia and Mediterranean Africa (2019) from the Ca’Foscari University of Venice. He complemented his academic background with a Master’s degree in International Relations (2022) and a Master of Science in Science and Management of Climate Change (2023) from the same university. He is currently enrolled at his second year of the PhD in Economics at the University of Salamanca.
His master’s thesis aimed at assessing drought-related vulnerabilities in the energy sector of hydropower-dependent sub-Saharan countries. This thesis leveraged the SPEI and SPI indexes over the selected hydropower dams, using Night-time illumination data over the main urban centers of Africa as a proxy of electricity availability/consumption.
His research interest lies mainly in Risk, Uncertainty, and Sensitivity analysis and their incorporation in hydroeconomic models. He is proficient in R, Python and GAMS.
He joined the position of economist researcher in the Horizon-funded TRANSCEND project in May 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Carlos Dionisio Pérez-Blanco. Since November 2024 he is a research assistant at IMDEA Water working on the TRANSCEND project. This project is funded by the European Union’s HORIZON EUROPE research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 101084110.
