IMDEA Water welcomed last week a delegation from the Province of Santa Fe (Argentina), composed of institutional representatives and members of organizations from the water, energy, and environmental consultancy sectors. The delegation was led by Renata Ghilotti, President of Aguas Santafesinas, and Leonel Marmiroli, Secretary of Water and Sanitation of the Government of the Province of Santa Fe.

During the visit, attendees learned first-hand about IMDEA Water’s activities through a presentation on its main research lines, its participation in regional, national, and international projects and consortia, as well as its collaboration with companies and organizations in the water sector. The delegation then toured the outdoor experimental pilot facilities and laboratories, where analyses of contaminants, micro- and nanoplastics in water, microbiological studies, and soil analyses are carried out.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and address common challenges related to water resources, as well as to explore potential avenues for future collaboration in areas such as technological innovation, sustainability, and the improvement of water services.
