Visit of the delegation of mayors of the province of Cundinamarca, Colombia
They discovered the pilots installed in the experimental plant and the laboratories
IMDEA Agua has been visited by a delegation of mayors from the province of Cundinamarca (Colombia) in the framework of the visit to TecnoAlcalá organized by Madrid Activa and the Transfer Office of the University of Alcalá (OTRI).
The attendees discovered the Institute's facilities, as well as the good practices and technologies used in the management of water resources.
Initially the attendees visited the pilots installed at the IMDEA Water experimental plant: land application systems that allow research and improvements in wastewater treatment for small populations, an electrogenic wetland for the treatment of wastewater and various mesocosmos used in the research line of ecotoxicology.
They then visited the water laboratory, where physical-chemical analyzes are carried out to control water quality. During that visit our laboratory technicians explained the use of chromatography equipment, IPC-MS and mass spectrometry.
