IMDEA Water celebrates the 11 February the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11F) with a day aimed at students of different educational levels. Through interactive workshops, talks and scientific demonstrations, the institute seeks to inspire new generations to enter the world of research, highlighting the importance of women in science. Researchers and professionals from the centre will guide the participants, promoting interest and equal opportunities in science.

The activities will take place both at different educational centres in the Community of Madrid. They will address key issues such as stereotypes and the lack of female role models in science, as well as specific research topics, such as bacterial resistance, water pollution or the impact of pharmaceutical products on the environment.

These actions are part of the Researchers at Schools initiative of the NIGHTMADRID project, a scientific dissemination project coordinated by Fundación madri+d and funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme-Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions -under Grant Agreement No 101.162.110.
