The Membrane Technology (MEMTech) group from IMDEA Water visited the Canal de Isabel II facilities in Torrejón de Ardoz yesterday. The objective was to prepare for the next experimental activity of the MADisWater project, which will take place at the Centre for Experimentation and Innovation (CEIC).

The visit began with a welcome from Head of Information (R&D&I) at Canal de Isabel II, Juan Jesús Alonso, who presented the centre’s capabilities and the main lines of work carried out.

During the visit, Doctors Junkal Landaburu and Serena Molina, along with staff from METfilter, another partner in the project, toured the CEIC’s infrastructure and resources. This leading facility dedicated to the research, validation, and development of advanced technologies for wastewater treatment, regeneration, and reuse provides an ideal platform for conducting trials and technological demonstrations aimed at improving sustainability and efficiency in water management.

The collaboration between MEMTech, METfilter, and Canal de Isabel II reinforces the project’s commitment to promoting innovative solutions to address current water challenges. The CEIC’s objectives are fully aligned with the Hub’s mission, which focuses on the development and transfer of technologies applied to water sustainability in the Community of Madrid.
