Workshop REMTAVARES

The REMTAVARES consortium, in which IMDEA Water integrates, organizes a  Workshop on "Technologies for Monitoring and Treatment of Contaminants of Emerging Concern", that will be held on  November 23 y 24 , 2017 in the Rey Juan Carlos University.

Abraham Esteve, associated researcher of IMDEA Water, will participate as speaker with the presentation “Microbial Electrochemical Technologies (MET) and the energy-water nexus”.

Andrea Castaño and Álvaro Vázquez, support researchers of IMDEA Water, will also participate as speakers with the presentations “Ecotoxicological effects of hospital treated wastewaters and pharmaceutical metabolits on Daphnia magna and Chlorella vulgaris: an integrated experimental approach” and “Testing toxicity of endocrine disrupters on development and reproduction of freshwater Ostracoda” respectively.

REMTAVARES is a Madrid Network created in 2006 within the R&D activities program in technologies between research groups of the Community of Madrid. Currently, REMTAVARES is integrated by five research groups, four public universities from Madrid (UAM, UAH, UCM and URJC) and a public research institute (IMDEA-AGUA). The main purpose of the consortium is developing non-conventional intensive processes such as advanced oxidation processes or innovative technologies for the treatment of urban and industrial wastewaters.
